RISE was designed out of the belief that Training is Treatment.
Exercise isn’t just a recommendation—it’s one of the most effective treatments healthcare professionals and exercise scientists prescribe. Across populations, it’s often the only intervention that consistently delivers noticeable improvements. Whether you’re managing chronic pain or illness, there’s an exercise program out there that can help you feel better. The challenge is figuring out which program is right for you.
Doctors can provide general guidance on how active you should be, and physiotherapists or chiropractors may give you a handful of exercises for a specific injury or condition. However, these medical professionals are often only available for the rehab period immediately following the acute injury, diagnoses, or surgery. Moreover, these exercises alone often fall short of achieving the recommended daily or weekly activity levels needed to make meaningful progress.
That’s where I come in. As a Certified Personal Trainer with specialized certifications in Exercise Therapy and Corrective Exercise, my goal is to help relieve your pain and adequately challenge you.* Not all personal trainers are prepared to handle clients who are straddling the line between pain and full recovery, and they may treat you with extreme caution, thus never actually helping you improve.
Even if you’re unsure of its source, your pain is real, valid, and likely impacting how you move. I want to remove the fear from movement, empowering you to use your pain as a guide and get you to a level of fitness that you desire. Together, we’ll work toward alleviating it while building confidence and strength.
